Only in Nebraska. “Could I get Anchovies and a scratch remover with that?”.
It has 19,800 pounds of flour, 10,000 pounds of tomato sauce, 8,800 pounds of mozzarella cheese, 1,488 pounds of margarine, 551 pounds of rock salt, 220 pounds of lettuce and 55 pounds of vinegar. Oh, and it weighs in at 51,257 pounds. You might need a drink with that.
South Africa has the record before, but the Italians took it back with a vengeance.
More from Food Beast
Oh those fawning doghearted dewberries at Pizza Hut! The rock band The Black Keys are taking Pizza Hut to court over the use of their ditty, “Gold on the Ceiling” that P.H. allegedly plundered for their Cheezy Bites Pizza commercial proclamation. Although “allegedly” is a weak word as it is quite plain to hear that’s precisely what they did. Listen for yourself:
While the Omaha Pizza Kings don’t usually opine on national chains, we think this is clearly a “cheesy” move on Pizza Hut’s part, and we deem them – in this case – to be qualling doghearted horn-beasts.
The Kings have spoken!
The Omaha Pizza Kings decided to take a rest this weekend to tend to other royal tasks (cultivating the royal gardens, riding the majestic 2-wheeled chariots, etc).
So in the meantime, we called on our court jester to supply an interesting pizza factoid:
Americans eat approximately 100 acres of pizza each day, or 350 slices per second. That’s;
- 21,000 slices per minute
- 1,260,000 slices per hour
- 30,240,000 slices per day
- 110 billion slices per year
The Kings want to know…how many of the billions of slices are you responsible for?
